Each year, the Spirit of Boise hot air balloon rally attracts dozens of balloon pilots and thousand of fans to Boise’s Ann Morrison Park.
For three magical days each summer — usually over Labor Day weekend — Boise skies fill with fanciful balloons. Each morning they launch from the park.
One evening during the festival, the balloons anchor themselves to the ground and fire up their burners for an audience filled with smiles. It’s called a night glow. And it is something everyone should experience at least once.
This is the Nite Glow. A night full of oohs and ahhs. Dancing and relaxing. Families picnic. Couples snuggle. Everyone has a great time.
Viewing Tips:
Dress in layers — temperatures can really change from sun up to sundown
Engage — when allowed near the balloons, ask questions. Pilots and crews love to share their knowledge and passion.
Food and Drink — the Nite Glow lasts several hours. Come early with snacks or plan to grab food from one of the local food vendors. You’ll definitely want to stay for the grand finale!
