SWITA Membership

The Southwest Idaho Travel Association (SWITA) is a regional tourism destination marketing organization stretching from Glenns Ferry to New Meadows, Idaho. Our supporters know the value of tourism to the Southwest corner of Idaho and are travel and tourism related businesses, chambers of commerces, and individuals interested in promoting Southwest Idaho as a travel destination. SWITA's mission is to increase "heads in beds" Southwest Idaho by promoting our area for tourism. We accomplish our mission by implementing specific regional and co-op marketing programs and by attending numerous tradeshows and marketplaces each year. 

SWITA's primary funding source is an Idaho Travel Council (ITC) grant, which is funded by the statewide 2% lodging tax. ITC grants must be used to develop and implement a tourism marketing program that increases awareness of Idaho’s camping industry and generates interest and inquiries for information about tourism related businesses in Southwest Idaho.

You are more than welcome to attend any of the SWITA Board of Directors Meetings. The SWITA Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 8am, location varies. If you're intested in coming by a Board Meeting, please shoot us an email and we'll let you know which SWITA Board Member is hosting - we'd love to have you there.

General Membership Meetings for the 15/16 year are as follows:

September 10, 2015 - 12pm-1pm - State Tourism Office, Boise
February 11, 2016 - 12pm-1pm - State Tourism Office, Boise
May - during the Idaho Conference on Recreation & Tourism (ICORT)*
